Travelling to Spain News Update
Published - 10/01/2022
With the ever-changing travel restrictions, as a result of the Covid pandemic, it's hard to keep on top of what’s current and what’s old news, making planning your next holiday to Spain very difficult.

Checking the relevant official channels is the best way forward to getting the newest and most up to date information, which you can find here at the tap of a button.
Luckily for those of us that like to travel to Spain regularly, their national and local government have been slightly less strict with restrictions on travellers coming into the country, provided they meet the various requirements for entry.
Travelling to Spain requires that you complete a Health Control Form, which must be submitted, where you will then receive an email that will act as confirmation for boarding air and sea travel and include a QR code which must be presented on arrival at your airport or seaport. Click HERE to view and complete the 'Health Control Form'. It's straightforward to complete, plus there is much help available.
You must also present your vaccination status letter or app which contains details of your vaccination status on arrival. Failure to do so could result in non-entry to Spain. Check HERE for the most up to date information.
You may also be eligible for entry with proof of a negative PCR test. Further details can be found here.
Does Travel Insurance Matter?
Travel insurance matters more now than ever, given the high transmission rates of the Covid virus. But purchasing the correct travel insurance is more important. Ensure your travel insurance policy covers all related Covid issues that could cause you to lose out if your holiday was to be cancelled say or curtailed or if a serious illness occurred that required medical treatment or hospitalisation. Look for a fully comprehensive policy that will cover you for all eventualities.
Top Tip
When booking flights or sea travel, it’s best to book with carriers that offer an element of flexibility, so that if you need to make changes to the dates of your travel this can happen free of charge. Some carriers will offer a full refund if you need to cancel your travel plans in order to get you to book. This is especially helpful if one or more of your party become infected with Covid. Do make sure you read the full terms and conditions on refunds and free date changes to your reservation before you actually book.
